A New Series of Lift Check Valves



JACKSONVILLE, ALABAMA-, JUNE 26,2003 - A new series of Lift Check Valves designed for use in a wide variety of power generation and laboratory applications has been introduced by Parker Hannifin's Instrumentation Products Division here.

Designated the LC-Series, the new Lift Check Valves are designed to withstand a wide range of temperature extremes found inside power generation, petrochemical, and chemical processing plants; within oil and gas transmission facilities; and on equipment In various laboratories.

"The LC-Series Lift Check Valves are ideal for liquid service," said IPD marketing manager Craig Beckwith. "They were designed to prevent flow in the reverse direction to within 99.9% of the forward flow-and a very significant benefit to our customers." A gravity-assisted poppet uses back pressure to achieve a seal.

The valves are rated at 6000 psig (413 bar) CWP and temperature rated at -100 degrees F to +900 degrees F (-148 degrees Centigrade to +482 Centigrade).

"The compact design of these valves can save valuable space in tight areas," Beckwith noted, "and their stainless steel forged bodies were developed to provide long service life even under very rugged operating conditions."
