Liberty IMS Announces Availability of LibertyNET Enterprise 8.1R6 Featuring Next Generation MFP Capture Solutions

COSTA MESA, Calif., and LAS VEGAS, March 21 // -- Liberty Information Management Solutions (Liberty IMS), a leading provider for the document management software industry, today announced general availability of version 8.1R6 of LibertyNET Enterprise (LNE). The new release includes powerful capture technology for Sharp OSA and eCopy 4. Liberty IMS personnel are currently demonstrating this new capture technology at the ITEX trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada, in booth numbers 623 (Liberty IMS), 1027 (eCopy Hotspot), 1012 (Sharp), and 226 (Samsung).

Sharp OSA Support

Sharp OSA support was first delivered for Doc2NET in December 2006, and is now also available on LNE 8.1R6. It supports Sharp MFP based document scanning/capture to LNE folders, MFP based panel indexing, production mode index value retention at the MFP for scans to the same folder (sticky fields), enforcement of a unified folder access security model, and more. This connector is recommended for LibertyNET/Sharp MFP capture installations where a low cost, software only per MFP solution is preferred, and where streamlined capture/indexing at the MFP meets application requirements. List price for the connector is USD $395.00.

eCopy 4 Support

LibertyNET eCopy support delivers on multi-vendor MFP capture to LNE 8.1R6 using the eCopy ShareScan products. It provides document scanning/capture to LNE folders, image preview and quality control (QC) at the MFP, indexing at the MFP, enforcement of a unified folder access security model, and more. The eCopy connector is recommended for LibertyNET/MFP installations where the MFP install base consists of multiple vendors, where the external eCopy hardware (eCopy Scan Station) device already exists for the MFP, and where full image preview and QC is a desired and/or required step at each MFP based capture device. List price for the connector is $1295.

Other Key 8.1 R6 Features

8.1R6 includes the new MFP capture solutions plus 25 new features and enhancements, such as Rendition Object, High Volume OCR Operations, E-Forms Enhancements, Thin Client Performance Acceleration, and more. Russ Henderson, CTO of Liberty IMS, notes that "the primary beneficiary of this release is our customer base, whose input plays the key role in driving requirements. We remain committed to understanding intimate customer needs and responding on a timely basis with extensions to our platform."
