LG Demonstrates Transformative Air Conditioning Solutions at 2016 AHR Expo

Advanced Technology and Efficiency Benefits Highlighted with Innovative Applications

ORLANDO, Fla. - Air conditioning systems leader LG Electronics USA is demonstrating its expanded 2016 lineup of commercial and residential solutions, time-saving software and enhanced variable refrigerant flow (VRF) technology this week at 2016 AHR Expo, the world's largest industry trade show that caters to the needs of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) engineers, contractors, distributors and other trade professionals.

"LG continues to lead the way in innovation and superior efficiency, and at this year's AHR Expo, we're showcasing just how ideal LG's air conditioning systems can be for virtually any building or home," said Kevin McNamara, senior vice president, Air Conditioning Systems, LG Electronics USA. "We want the industry to know that LG is committed to creating products and solutions that will save energy and drive personal comfort - two of our top priorities for 2016."

Attendees in LG's booth (#4644) will be able to interact with the latest LG air conditioning products and learn how these products can be installed in a variety of applications, from residential and light commercial to hospitality and even educational settings. They will also learn first-hand about the outstanding energy efficiency of LG's innovations coming to market in 2016:

LG Multi F MAX

At the core of LG's AHR Expo residential application display is the newest product in its flagship Multi F series, the LG Multi F MAX outdoor unit, which is now available in a larger capacity at 60,000 BTU/h. The new single phase, five-ton outdoor air-conditioning unit connects up to eight individual indoor units and allows occupants to control each individual room or space. Outdoor Multi F (now available in 1.5-, 2-, 2.5-, 3-, 4-, 4.5- and 5-ton capacities) represent the ideal solution for a wide range of applications, including residential homes and light commercial buildings.

LG Multi V™IV

The LG Multi V IV VRF system leads the industry with the highest IEER in heat recovery available today. The system boosts an impressive AHRI-certified efficiency of up to 38.5 IEER. The outdoor unit is also available in heat pump and heat recovery models with capacities ranging from six to 42 tons. To deliver exceptional performance and design flexibility, the Multi V IV system features High Elevation Piping technology and High Pressure Oil Return (HiPOR™).

LG's Multi V VRF systems are now, for the first time, compatible with the LG Art Cool™Gallery 9,000 and 12,000 BTU/h wall mounted indoor units. The Art Cool Gallery is the industry's only customizable wall mounted picture frame air conditioner, bringing a new level of design aesthetic to the commercial industry.

LG Multi V S

LG's new Multi V S, the next generation of the popular Multi V Mini series, is compact, efficient and can support up to nine individual indoor units. The Multi V S provides cooling or heating zoning capabilities and allows for individual control of room temperatures. The system utilizes single-phase power so it can be used in a wide range of building types, offering overall increased flexibility and efficiency. The Multi V S requires little or no ductwork, resulting in smaller space requirements for piping that preserves the integrity of the exterior of buildings. The system is compatible with LG's Art Cool Mirror, Art Cool Gallery, standard wall-mounted, vertical/horizontal air handlers and several other air handling models.

New 4-Way Ceiling Cassette Grilles

Also at 2016 AHR Expo, LG is set to unveil two new Ceiling Cassette Grilles. The Black Ceiling Cassette comes in a 3X3 configuration with a new, aesthetically-pleasing black color that can easily fit into any space and blend into any commercial ceiling environment. Also featured is a new 2X2 4-Way Ceiling Cassette Grille designed to perfectly fit into a standard two-foot square ceiling grid.

AHU Communications and LG EEV Kits

LG also offers the AHU Communications and LG EEV Kits to give engineers and designers an efficient way to increase productivity. These proprietary kits provide designers an effective solution for greater efficiency and design flexibility when combining the efficiency of VRF with their AHU design. An LG Multi V air-source or water-source system is combined with a third party air handler, which matches the efficiency of LG's VRF outdoor systems with a custom-sized third-party air handler.

LATS CAD 2

First unveiled in the United States late last year and on display at 2016 AHR Expo, LG's LATS CAD 2 is the fully integrated, industry-changing design software that arms engineers with a more efficient platform to design commercial VRF systems - and reduces design time by up to 80 percent. LATS CAD 2 operates as a seamless extension of AutoCAD, an industry-standard building design program. By eliminating translation errors between previously incompatible programs, AutoCAD and LATS CAD 2 maintain building design integrity between programs, creating a more fluid and accurate design process that result in time efficiencies and cost-savings.

LGMV App

On the mobile side, LG offers technicians access to any LG Multi V, Multi F and Multi F MAX system in real-time on an Android or iOS mobile device via the LG Mobile LGMV app. After a quick install of the LGMV Wi-Fi Module, technicians can review diagnostic information and graph data values to help troubleshoot any issue with ease. LGMV is the companion app to LG's Sims 2.0, which enables contractors to quickly troubleshoot LG duct-free systems with a convenient smart phone app.

At 2016 AHR Expo and beyond, LG is demonstrating successful and sustainable installations that meet the needs of residential and light commercial applications as well as hospitality, high rises and education facilities.
