New Remote Chamber Level Switch
The new L500C Remote Chamber Level Switch from Innovative Solutions provides a machined, high pressure, "bottle" housing for mounting outside the tank where inside mounting is impractical or impossible. This vertically installed device features an all brass or 316 stainless steel body with 316L stainless steel internal float assembly. Rated for operating pressures up to 750 psig (51 Bar) at 70°F (21°C) and maximum operating temperatures to 300°F (148°C), the solid metal housing can safely contain over pressure to 1500 psig. In addition to offering higher system pressures than similar type cast housings, the wider inside chamber of the L500C affords ample clearance between the float and the chamber wall to avoid particle entrapment and jamming.
The L500C can be equipped with ¾" or 1" npt ports and an optional ½" npt conduit connector. With both SPST and SPDT elements available, the magnetically coupled switch operation can be easily reversed by inverting the float position.
Excellent for large or small tanks, cooling towers or for sight glass replacement, the L500C measures just over 6" in height and installs at the actuation level point. A compact, aluminum bottle version is also available with ¼" npt connections for smaller volume applications.
