Barton's Loop-Powered BA220 Level Monitor Displays Both Level and Tank Contents on a Large LCD Display
City of Industry, CA (Feb. 15, 2002) -- Barton's BA220 Level Monitor accepts a 4-20 mA signal from a wide range of level sensors, including pressure transmitters, ultrasonic sensors and capacitance probes. The unit displays both level and tank contents on a large "easy-to-read" 7-digit LCD display with programmable span. A programmable offset is available to account for contents remaining in the tank when the measurement level is 0%. Accuracy of the monitor is 0.5% of full scale. Intrinsically safe certification is provided.
The monitor is powered entirely from the 4-20 mA current loop - no need for external power or batteries. Solid-state, opto-isolated DC relay outputs provide up to four level alarms, and a 25-point non-linearity correction table allows the monitor to be programmed to fit most vessels, including cylindrical tanks, bullet-shaped tanks and hoppers.
Constructed of NEMA 4X (IP67) watertight polycarbonate, enclosure dimensions are 3.8"H x 5.9"W x 1.6"D (97mm H x 150mm W x 41mm D), and can be wall, pipe or panel-mounted. An optional DIN rail-mounted relay module is designed to be mounted away from the monitor. Its four electromechanical relays can be connected to the monitor's open collector outputs for switchable AC outputs.
