Combining inexpensive EconoMount(TM) Load Cell Modules, with precision PS-2010W Transmitters results in a non-intrusive, highly reliable method of measuring level. Weight or mass is inherently more accurate when measuring vessel contents because it is independent of the vessel shape, temperature, and specific gravity of the contents. The non-contact nature of the measurement and proven reliability of a strain gage based transducer results in significantly lower maintenance costs as compared to other technologies. Non-penetrating measurement systems eliminate the risk of product contamination while providing stable, repeatable readings.
Accurate level measurement systems require "live" load cell modules at only one or two measurement points, significantly reducing overall system cost. Remaining points are supported by simulated (dummy) modules or "I" beams.
Using load cells, symmetrical level vessels with self-leveling liquids or solids and minimal connected piping can achieve accuracies approaching 1.0%.
