LEID Products, LLC Announces Advanced Iris Recognition Option for Its Biometric Access Control System (BACSâ„¢) Securing Critical Assets

LEID Products, LLC, leader of electronic locker and cabinet storage with biometric asset protection and control, today announced the integration of Princeton Identity Inc.’s patented Iris on the Move™ (IOM) technology, IOM Access200™. The IOM Access200 is among the most accurate and trusted solutions for identity confirmation with the iris being the most accurate human identifier other than DNA.

“Biometric technologies have advanced tremendously over the last few years; iris recognition is unparalleled in its reliability for quick, secure identity confirmation. We are excited to integrate the technology into our BACS™ applications,” said Sam Hoff, president of LEID Products. “Our customers include military facilities, crime and research labs, law enforcement departments, government agencies, airports and more, where security and accountability are of the upmost importance. We believe the option to use iris identification will be very well received.”

The patented BACS™ Systems consist of customized configurations of LEID Products’ SmartRail Gun Rack, Electronic Access Cabinets, Key Cabinets, Electronic Modular Access Units, and SMARTGUARD™ Handgun Safes with built-in asset management/inventory control software and RFID tracking. Access to assets stored in the BACS™ System is managed and configured from the central BACS™ ID Station Kiosk; an administrator can enroll users, manage access permissions, view logs for tracking and ensure proper maintenance and accessibility. The new iris technology is offered as an alternative login option for the fingerprint scanner used to authenticate authorized users for access to the BACS™ System.

With installations globally, BACS Systems are field-proven solutions used to secure and track critical inventory including weapons, evidence, medical supplies/narcotics, sensitive corporate and government materials, etc.

LEID Products will be displaying its new iris technology at the law enforcement industry’s premier event, the 125th IACP Annual Conference and Exposition in Orlando October 6-9, 2018 in booth 1312.
