The Easi-Set product line has allowed Leesburg Concrete to diversify and grow, in a competitive Central Florida marketplace.
Last year, Leesburg Concrete acquired an Easi-Set Buildings as part of their long-term growth strategy. The company's objective was to expand their line of precast concrete products in an effort to provide creative building solutions to local projects.
Located in Florida, St. Petersburg Water Management needed to install a new water pump station, but their location (in a flood plain) posed specific challenges. Brian Stock, Sales Representative at Leesburg Concrete, recommended Easi-Set Buildings to the general contractor. "I suggested that we elevate the new pump station building," said Stock.
Elevating the building and pouring a platform allowed Leesburg Concrete to utilize one of their core product lines, precast steps. "We are supplying precast steps that extend a full 8 feet to a poured-in-place platform which will support the building, railing system, and large Onan gas fired generator," remarked Stock. The final building will seamlessly fit in with the current aesthetic at the facility. "We will be casting a custom Easi-Set building with a real red barrel roof and fancy round front window with clapboard sides."
Adding a product such as the Easi-Set precast buildings to their already diverse product line gives Leesburg a competitive advantage. "Leesburg's main products are steps and railings. They were looking to diversify, and that's what we are looking for in all of our licensed producers," said Easi-Set Managing Director Moffette Tharpe. "We look for people to start small and embrace the products we are offering as a cornerstone product of their business. If they can continue to increase sales volume year-over-year, then over time, they will accomplish their objective. And at that point, we will be able to say that we have accomplished ours."
Leesburg Vice President, Kirk Rouse commented, "Easi-Set brings us a superior line of precast products. The initial demand and the leads we have received from Easi-Set have been very strong, and have directly resulted in the sale of more than 20 buildings. To date, we've delivered 8-10 buildings to very satisfied customers. Another great indicator of the new line's success is the fact that some of these customers have already started planning for their future orders, which will be finalized as budget allows."
One significant factor in Easi-Set's success is the high level of brand awareness it has generated for precast buildings. "Easi-Set is probably the most recognized and strongest brand in the country for precast buildings. From small to large buildings, Easi-Set is a nationally recognized brand," commented Tharpe. Mr. Rouse agrees stating, "Easi-Set does a wonderful job of generating brand awareness for these products, and generating leads for us." www.easisetbuildings.com
