405 LED Visible Light Cure System Offers High Intensity Output and Long Life
Rocky Hill, Conn. - April 17, 2007.... Henkel Corporation has introduced the Loctite® CureJet(TM) 405 LED, a three-component, LED spot curing system with high curing intensity. Designed to safely and immediately cure UV and visible light cure adhesives, this system consists of an LED light source, an LED controller, and interconnecting cables.
The system's highly focused LED light source (item #976420) provides its maximum intensity light at 0.25-inch from the cure surface. The light source provides 1.1 W/cm² output over a 0.38-inch diameter cure area. The LED controller (item #976419) maintains proper current output to the light source, and allows the user to set the required exposure time for curing. The controller can be actuated by an external signal or a footswitch, and can communicate with an external controller such as a PLC. Interconnecting cables (items #1008353 and 1008352) are available in one and three meter lengths.
The Loctite® CureJet(TM) 405 LED can be used in a wide range of industrial and medical assembly applications, The LED light source operates effectively up to five times longer than typical UV bulbs, delivering consistent performance, long-term reliability, and lower overall operating/maintenance costs. Additionally, since the system eliminates liquid-filled light guides that degrade over time, replacement costs are reduced.
The Loctite® CureJet(TM) LED can be operated in timed or continuous-duty modes. The system offers the highest powered LED currently available, instant on/off capabilities to prevent lengthy warm-up times, , and features internal diagnostics and a digital I/O port with optional PLC interface cable. Units are stackable with one-inch center-to-center spacing for applications requiring larger or multiple cure areas.
