GELcore Introduces Universal High Visibility LED Traffic Signal


Valley View, OH - January, 2002 - GELcore, LLC recently introduced a new generation of its GE LED Signal product line with the RX11 LED Signal. The RX11 family of full ball signals are offered in 8 and 12 inch configurations, and feature an expanded field-of-view designed to allow the RX11 to be universally used in span wire or stationary arm applications.

The RX11 patent-pending design minimizes sun phantom effects, resulting in 70 percent reduced glare based on EN12368 standards. Like previous generation LED signals, these energy efficient products have a 5-year warranty and can deliver up to 90% energy savings compared to incandescent signals.

The patent pendinig RX11 power supply can be individually adapted to accept the characteristics of different controllers. The ENERGY STAR(R) label is awarded to traffic signals that meet select performance levels for energy efficiency established by the U.S. EPA and the U.S. Department of Energy.
