American Bright Introduces 1-Watt Power LED Module for Light Engines and Low Power Consumption Applications
Improved thermal management design features exposed metal pad for improved power dissipation; Compact size for portable appliance uses
Chino, CA, June 22, 2005 - American Bright Optoelectronics introduces their new MagnaBrite 1-Watt LED module featuring a new white LED design incorporating a heat sink base capable of handling forward currents to 350mA, and a low profile exposed metal base for easy on-board circuitry installation. The compact design, including heat sink, measures only 10.00mm x 13.00mm, including a low 4.2mm profile. An integral 7mm diameter bezel and flush lens creates an ideal configuration for LCD backlighting, and uses in small lamps, torches and general illumination applications.
The new 1-Watt BWL Series is available in white, red, green, blue and yellow and is offered standard on a PCB base measuring 20.00mm diameter, pre-wired for direct interface with wire-based circuitry. Depending on color (wavelength), material is either AlInGaN or AlGalnP. Performance characteristics include DC forward current (IF) of 350mA, operating temperature ranges of -30° to +120°C, and 1-Watt power dissipation (PD). Viewing intensity, or total flux (Φv) is 30 lumens (lm). Viewing angle is 120°. All configurations are manufactured in compliance with Pb Free (RoHS) materials and processes.
