Schott-Fostec Presents LED Lightlines

October 30, 2002 - Schott-Fostec introduces a range of LED lightlines for surface inspection applications. The product offering includes seven standard sizes ranging from 4 inches to 40 inches, and is available in both red and white. Custom color options include blue, yellow, and green in addition to UV and IR wavelengths. Cylindrical and aperatured lenses, as well as polarizers are available to customize your output. Custom product configurations can also be designed for unique lighting requirements.

Practical benefits of LEDs to the machine vision industry include extended component life and flexibility in design. Our intelligent design monitors the lighthead's temperature and intensity through a continuous feedback loop. This feature along with a matrix plate as a heat sink and unique circuit design to isolate failure to individual LEDs, helps extend component life beyond those of existing competitors.

With extensive experience in fiber optics and LED illumination solutions, the LED lightlines expand Schott-Fostec's basic LED product range of bright and darkfield ringlights, backlights and spotlights.
