Compact, High Powered Hand Held LED Light Source for Visible Light Cure Adhesives
Rocky Hill, Conn. - February 27, 2006.... Henkel Corporation has introduced the new Loctite® 7703 Hand-held LED Light Source to deliver safe, efficient, immediate cure of Loctite® 3552(TM) and Loctite® 3553(TM) Visible Light Cure Adhesives. This high powered, portable system provides output up to 2.0 W/cm² of visible light irradiance, and is sized at just 9 x 1 x ¾-inches.
The innovative Loctite® 7703 LED Light Source virtually eliminates substrate heating, emits no UV wavelengths, and requires no specialized protective equipment to ensure worker safety. Ideal for applications in crowded or hard-to-reach areas, the Loctite® 7703 system features an LED point light source with an extended tip that effectively cures adhesive joints up to ¼" square. The LED lamp also performs up to five times longer than typical UV bulbs.
Portable or mountable, this system can use rechargeable batteries or an AC adapter. The light source can be used while recharging and features remote on/off capabilities. Unique LED technology allows the Loctite® 7703 to deliver instant on/off performance and consistent light output.
Highly cost-effective, the Loctite® 7703 LED Light Source requires a lower initial capital investment over typical UV cure systems. Visible light cure technology also frees up manufacturing floor space once dedicated to large curing ovens and temporary storage of work in process.
