Larson Electronics Releases an Explosion Proof LED Light Fixture with a Combo Light Output

Larson Electronics, a company that has been serving the industrial and commercial businesses for over 40 years, has released a two foot explosion proof LED light fixture equipped with a single 14 watt white output lamp and a six watt LED light, which produces a red color output.

The EPL-24-2L-LED-VISRED explosion proof LED light fixture from Larson Electronics is United States and Canada UL approved Class I Division I, Class II Division I and is an ideal lighting solution for areas where flammable chemical and petrochemical vapors exist. This two foot fixture is a powerful yet compact hazardous location lighting solution that will improve overall illumination levels and light quality while reducing operating costs. The 14 watt LED lamp produces 30 percent more illumination than a standard T8 fluorescent lamp and offers lower amp draw and increased reliability. This lamp produces 1,750 lumens of visible, bright white light. The six watt red output LED produces 600 to 675 nanometers of light on the wavelength spectrum.

The LED light sources are protected by heat and impact resistant Pyrex tubes and the fixture is constructed of copper free aluminum alloy. The reflectors are corrosion resistant heavy gauge aluminum, coated with a high gloss reflective finish. The fixture is universal voltage and operates on 120 to 277 volts AC and is also available for operating on 11 to 25 volts DC for low voltage applications. These units come standard for surface mounting. Each surface mount bracket is cinched to a peg on each side of the light. The bracket is mounted with a single bolt hole at the top of the bracket. Pendant mounting options are also available, allowing operators to suspend the fixture from a surface.

“By eliminating the ballast box that is normally associated with fluorescent fixtures, we have reduced the overall weight and created a slimmer profile,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics. “Each lamp in this unit has individual leads, allowing operators to power them independently of one another.”

Larson Electronics carries an extensive line of LED light towers, portable power distributions, explosion proof lights for hazardous locations, portable work lights and industrial grade LED area lights.
