2G11 CFL replacement lamp reduces energy usage and saves on labor and materials of retrofits

Toronto, Canada – ORR Lighting™, a manufacturer of innovative LED lighting solutions for the commercial, industrial and institutional sectors, has released its new CB2G LED lamp. Developed as a drop-in replacement for compact fluorescents (CFL), the CB2G is the first LED 2G11 lamp to attain cETLus certification in North America.


The CB2G is a highly efficient LED lamp designed to provide an alternative light source to a 2/40 W CFL commonly used in retail, hospitality, offices as well as institutional environments such as healthcare and airports.  Available in 15 W or 20 W versions, the CB2G LED’s innovative design features a 120� beam angle that ensures there is no wasted light and delivers the same visible light output with 20 W that compact fluorescent alternatives do with 40 W. Up to 288 high efficiency LEDs form a linear point light source that creates a sparkle effect in a variety of color temperatures including 3200K or 4250-4750K.  Other color temperatures are available upon request.

Precision multiple heat fins allow for optimum heat dissipation of the lamp delivering a long life solution. When compared to its compact fluorescent counterparts the CB2G has a significantly longer lifespan of more than 30,000 hours, offering savings in maintenance costs. The CB2G lamp also provides an alternative LED retrofit solution that enables a simple lamp replacement tooccur without replacing the entire fixture and just bypassing the ballast. It empowers commercial, industrial, and institutional users to avoid excessive labor and materials costs and the negative environmental impact associated with improperly discarding CFL lamps and fixtures.

As the first certified cETLus replacement LED lamp for compact fluorescent 2G11 lamps, the CB2G is an attractive choice for retrofitting recessed wall washers, recessed or surface mounted 2x2 ceiling luminaires or display track lighting.
