New 3mm PCB LEDs Provide Robust Performance at an Affordable Price
TORRANCE, CA - May 30, 2003 - LEDtronics® announces a new Low-Cost Series of Right-Angle 3mm PCB LED indicators that are ideal for applications requiring the precise alignment of status indicators. With rugged housings and sturdy pins, these LEDs withstand the stress of automated positioning machinery. LEDs come in bi-level, tri-level and quad-level, and from single-column units to four-column configurations. Advanced optical grade epoxy is used to produce illumination that is bright and smooth. Diffused lenses are standard. Single-colored LEDs are stocked in High-Efficiency Red, High-Efficiency Green and Yellow. Bi-colored combinations are High-Efficiency Red/High-Efficiency Green and Yellow/High-Efficiency Green. Dependent upon factory approval, custom colors may be ordered.
Solid-state design: renders LEDs impervious to shock, vibration, frequent switching and environmental extremes. With an average life span of 100,000-plus hours (11 years), LED lamps operate more than 20 times longer than the equivalent incandescent lamp! Savings from reduced maintenance costs and downtime quickly return the capital investment expenditure! LED lamps produce almost no heat and require 80% - 90% less operating power than equivalent incandescents, making them as friendly to the environment as they are to the operating budget.
