RALEIGH, N.C. (May 06, 2004) -- austriamicrosystems has launched the AS1100, an LED driver for seven segment numeric displays of up to eight digits. Featuring an extremely low shutdown current of only 50µA (maximum), and an operating current of less than 500µA (maximum), the AS1100 offers significant improvements over its closest competitor in the market, which offers a shutdown current of 150µA and operating current of 8mA.
