LED Curing System offers 365 nm curing capability.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for bench top and automated UV curing applications, SpotCure-B6 is available with 2 interchangeable light probes to cure UV adhesives in 365 and 395 nm ranges. In automatic operation mode, light activates ON when probe is removed from holder, and OFF when replaced in holder. Light delay of 1.5 sec allows accurate positioning of 12 mm light probe over work area, while selectable 10 sec timed cycles up to 60 sec and manual mode allow accurate control of curing time.

Original Press Release:

SpotCure-B6 LED Curing System Now with 365nm Curing Capability

Nov. 16, 2005 - SpotCure-B6 is a high output LED spot curing light for bench top and automated UV curing applications. The convenient "soldering station" design " allows the curing light to easily and accurately be positioned over a work area for handheld applications or permanently mounted in automated robotic applications. Two interchangeable wavelength specific light probes are now available to cure a wide variety of UV adhesives in the 365nm and 395nm ranges. LED technology is being employed for the light source to provide a significantly longer life over mercury arc based lamps. This extends the useful life of the instrument and lowers maintenance costs.

With the versatile design of the SpotCure-B6 your equipment investment is protected. The SpotCure-B6 was specifically designed to affordably keep up with the rapid development of new UV adhesives by an increasing number of manufacturers. The interchangeable light probe on the SpotCure-B6 allows new wavelength specific probes to be designed for differing requirements at a fraction of the cost of a new curing system. Developed primarily for use within the industrial and medical industries for assembly and repair, the SpotCure - B6 is now being used in an increasing number of new applications. These include high tech medical assembly of hearing aid devices, electronics assembly, engineering, and equipment repair for potting and component isolation, as well as glass, jewelry, and gemstone repair.

Intelligence is built into the base unit allowing for more flexible light control. In "automatic operation" mode the light activates "on" when the probe is removed from the holder, and "off" when replaced in the holder. A 1.5 second light activation delay allows for accurate positioning of the 12mm light probe over the work area.

Additional ways to control light activation have been incorporated to accommodate various application requirements. Selectable 10 second timed cycles up to 60 seconds and manual mode allow for the accurate control of actual curing time. An external control switch allows the use of a foot pedal control for hands-free operation or other external device for automated or robotic applications. An optional control cable that plugs into a jack on the back of the base unit enables the use of the external control switch with an external device. This cable is two conductors and can be connected to any normally open single pole switch either mechanical or electronic.

A detachable AC transformer powers the SpotCure-B6 base unit making setup and relocation a snap on any AC voltage system.

Kinetic Instruments was founded in 1977 as a primary manufacturer of light source systems and composite curing equipment for the dental industry. As the use of light generating products became prevalent in the medical and industrial industries Kinetic Instruments expanded it's composite curing product engineering to meet the newer requirements. Today we manufacture a full line of UV curing products used in the medical, electronics, and automotive industries for manufacturing and repair. Kinetic Instruments also performs custom UV light product engineering to meet custom specifications.
