Uson Offers Non-Destructive Leak Detection System for Sealed Bottles and Canisters

HOUSTON (October 10, 2005) - Uson, the world leader in the precision leak and flow tester market, today announced the new Qualipak - B 750 series, a flexible, repeatable non-destructive leak test system that combines economy with accuracy, allows for normal packaging to be returned to the line, and the contents of leaking packages to be reclaimed.

The Uson Qualipak - B750 series tester, for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries, includes a choice of different size chambers that can be selected to correlate in size to the containers to be tested. Infills are used for volume reduction and allow for varying container sizes to be tested in each chamber. The Qualipak - B750 series tester uses the Uson Model 1100 to control the evacuation of the chamber, monitor the changes in pressure during the test cycle and to collect data. Designed as an audit tester, the standard chambers can accommodate up to 4.5-inch diameter containers. The test cycle usually lasts less than one minute.

The tester is easy set up and use features include an anodized aluminum chamber and base, custom volume filling inserts, a PCMCIA card slot for memory storage, touch screen input, pressure plot graphics and a robust bench top design to be onsite with the package sealing equipment. Custom chambers are also available.

Uson, with its Qualipak family of leak testing products, provides the broadest offering of leak testers to the packaging industry, giving manufacturers the confidence they need to deliver high quality, cost-effective products to their customers.
