Original Press Release:

Contura Z for Accurate, Non-Destructive Leak Detection In 12 Seconds

Syracuse, NY - 4 June 2002: The CONTURA Z leak detector, developed for pharmaceutical package integrity testing, provides non-destructive leak detection in 12 seconds. CONTURA Z gives quantitative, reliable, and reproducible results insuring the product packaging is leak tight and is an effective barrier against microbial contamination. The instrument offers fast, stress-free leak testing to a detection limit of 1E-08 atm cc/s with no strain on the sealing seams or influences on the film surface. Test results are easily verified independent of operator skill and can be used to monitor the packaging process, so corrective action can be taken quickly. Precise leak site localization can be performed with an integrated hand-held sniffer probe.
