New Telescopic Leak Detector Goes to Extra Lengths to Find Hard-to-Reach AC&R Leaks!
Westbury, New York - Spectronics Corporation has introduced the Spectroline® LeakFinder(TM) Blue Max Plus(TM), a handy fluorescent leak detector (patent pending) that conveniently clips onto a shirt pocket. It features an adjustable service mirror and a unique telescopic extender that provides a reach of 28 in (70 cm). This makes it much easier to pinpoint "hidden" leaks in hard-to-reach parts of AC&R units that are off limits to larger lamps. When used with fluorescent dyes, the Blue Max Plus makes all leak sites glow brightly.
The Blue Max Plus is extremely compact - only 6 3/4" (17 cm) long - and it weighs a mere 3 ounces (85 g). It is powered by three 1.55 volt alkaline coin batteries that are supplied with the detector.
The solid-state blue LED bulb has an average rated life of 100,000 hours. The Blue Max Plus is waterproof and has an anodized aluminum body casing that is corrosion- and impact-resistant.
