Leading Mexican Distributor Implements RedPrairie for Visibility and Improved Customer Service

Grain Distributor and Third Party Logistics Provider Implements Second RedPrairie Distribution Center and Gains Multi-customer Capabilities and Increased Inventory Accuracy
Milwaukee, WI - RedPrairie Corporation, a global leader in supply chain technology solutions that enable business process transformation, announced today that Almacenadora Mercader (Almer), a leading Mexican grain distributor and third party logistics provider, has implemented RedPrairie's DLx Warehouse in its second Mexican distribution facility. The RedPrairie solution provides the ability to manage multiple customers in the same warehouse, including Internet visibility into inventory for customers and suppliers.
Almer chose the RedPrairie solution to offer better customer service and to improve revenues on third party logistics. The company implemented the RedPrairie solution in a 55,000-square-foot facility in Guadalajara, Jalisco and recently went live with the solution in a 40,000-square-foot facility in Mexico City. NetLogistiK, RedPrairie's service partner in Mexico, is a key part of the implementation team. Almer plans to implement RedPrairie solutions in two more distribution centers in 2006.

Our customers and suppliers now have 24-hour online visibility into inventory and orders, taking the guesswork out of order fulfillment status. We are able to use the space in our warehouse more effectively because we can mix products of different customers, whereas before implementing RedPrairie they had to be physically separated to maintain ownership," said Luis Garcia Serrato, CEO, Almer.
