Leading Manufacturers of Garage Door Openers Integrate Johnson Controls' HomeLink QuickTrain Software Into Their Access Control Systems

QuickTrain Feature Enables Faster, Easier 'Training' of Popular, Vehicle-Integrated HomeLink System
DETROIT, Jan. 10 -- Leading garage door opener manufacturers Chamberlain, Wayne-Dalton and Genie/Overhead Door have exclusively implemented Johnson Controls' (NYSE:JCI) Homelink(R) Wireless Control System with QuickTrain technology into their access control systems. The patented HomeLink system is integrated into a vehicle's overhead console, sun visor or rear-view mirror, and can be used to remotely operate garage doors, estate gates, rear and front locks, home security and lighting systems, and other convenience and safety devices. With the addition of the QuickTrain feature, training the HomeLink module is not only much easier, but it also takes less time.
The HomeLink Wireless Control System with QuickTrain technology will be in production on numerous 2007 model-year vehicles.
Currently, 30 million consumers use Johnson Controls' HomeLink system. The company's long-term agreements with the access control industry deliver a compatibility rate in excess of 98%, ensuring that consumers experience consistent and outstanding performance.
The HomeLink Wireless Control System with QuickTrain is among the innovations featured at the Johnson Controls product and technology exhibit at the 2006 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The company's display, in room D2-15 of Detroit's Cobo Center, will be open during media days at the event.

The HomeLink Wireless Control System with QuickTrain technology was first introduced at the 2005 NAIAS.
