Leading Healthcare and Cosmetics Products Contract Packer Broadens Activities With the Help of Ridat
Springdew Ltd - the leading contract packer of consumer healthcare, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and toiletries products, located near Swansea, Wales - is to broaden its activities with a £50,000 investment in forming, cutting and stacking machinery manufactured by the Ridat Company, based in Resolven, Neath, South Wales.
"The availability of this fully automated thermoforming machine at a competitive and very affordable price", says Paul Evans, Joint Managing Director of Springdew, "enables us to bring in-house the production of thermoformed trays, lids and clams.

The Ridat model 2420AFCS-V Form, Cut and Stack machine - which will enable multiple industry approved supplier Springdew to extend its services in the area of thermoformed components for specialist packaging - has a forming area of 600mm x 500mm (24" x 20") with a forming depth of 4" (100mm).
The machine has a two-pitch pre-heat station incorporating moving top and bottom plattens for forming and trimming. Material index is via spiky chain driven by servomotor to ensure indexing accuracy.
