Leading Equipment Manufacturer Chooses RuleStream to Automate Complex Engineering Processes for Custom Products

Robbins & Myers to Streamline Engineering Automation and Improve Fulfillment

Wakefield, MA - June 20, 2006 - RuleStream Corporation, leading provider of knowledge and decision management solutions to the discrete manufacturing industries, today announced that Robbins & Myers, Inc has selected RuleStream to streamline engineering processes, increase quotation accuracy and improve customer response time.

Robbins & Myers' Moyno division is a leading innovator and manufacturer of progressing cavity pumps, grinders and pump systems. With lengthy lead times for engineering deliverables in both the order quotation and fulfillment processes, they conducted a comprehensive search for a commercial solution to address their needs.

RuleStream will initially be used to automate complex engineering processes associated with Moyno's Engineer-to-Order (ETO) operations. This includes automation of 3D models, complex drawings, performance calculations and Bills of Materials (BoMs), which will allow quotations and orders for non-standard products and systems to be processed faster and with more accuracy. Upon completion of the Moyno implementation, Robbins & Myers plans to implement RuleStream in other divisions with ETO processes.

"We selected RuleStream to provide cost-effective, timely engineering automation on non-standard orders, an important and growing segment of our business," said Todd Brown, Engineering Manager, Moyno Division. "We expect the RuleStream system to increase bid and win rates, improve margin security through more accurate cost estimation, and enhance customer responsiveness and satisfaction. In addition, it reinforces our strategy of improving our internal processes to ensure we provide the best-value solution for our customers."

"RuleStream will replace our internally developed legacy systems that were costly to maintain and difficult to update," said Launie Anderson, Director of IT at Robbins & Myers. "In the future, RuleStream's unique enterprise scalability, robust engineering knowledge management tools, and unmatched integrations with other engineering packages will allow us to support multiple divisions across the globe with a central knowledge repository."

RuleStream's comprehensive integration with SolidWorks® 3D mechanical design software will allow Robbins & Myers to take advantage of an integrated user environment. "The expansion of Robbins & Myers' solution to incorporate RuleStream's engineering knowledge management tools further extends the vision and innovation available through SolidWorks and its vast partner program," said Jeff Ray, COO of SolidWorks Corporation.

"As a leading supplier of highly engineered systems, Robbins & Myers' success is based on close and continuing interaction with their customers and the development of new and innovative products," said Robert Nierman, CEO of RuleStream. "RuleStream's solution will demonstrate its value for new product enhancements and new product launches, helping Robbins & Myers maintain its leadership position."
