Original Press Release:
Isotope-Free Handheld Inspector Series(TM) Lead Analyzers from Innov-X
WOBURN, Mass., April 5, 2005 -- Innov-X Systems, Inc. announces the world's first isotope-free handheld lead analyzers. The new "Inspector Series" enables fast, accurate analysis of lead paint and other heavy metal contaminants on surfaces and wipes and in air, liquids, and soil. The new analyzers eliminate isotope speed loss and high replacement costs. Innov-X's breakthrough design uses an X-ray tube in a compact, ergonomically designed handheld unit with a pocket PC for unprecedented utility in a portable analyzer. This affords easy operation and fast readings, within 2-3 seconds. Using the PDA also enables fast data entry and on-the-spot report generation for productive inspections.
A rear-facing display makes the new units easy to read, supplementing the high-resolution color PDA, and allows convenient reading from any angle with ease. At less than 3-1/2 pounds, the Inspector Series provides the best ergonomic design of any handheld lead analyzer on the market.
No Radioactive Isotopes, Broad Uses
They are designed as "point and shoot" analyzers that produce results virtually anywhere - at production plants, homes or commercial buildings, outdoors, and in field locations ... from blazing heat to cold environments. Rugged, proven X-Ray tube technology removes radioactive isotope restrictions and makes travel a breeze.
The "Inspector Series" provides on-the-spot, fast and precise lead analysis and can be configured to do elemental analysis on other metals. Other options include capability to analyze wipes, soil, filters, and additional elements. A holster and remote battery pack are also available.
Powerful Software
The Analyzer's HP iPAQ pocket PC runs with software suites using factory furnished calibrations. The pocket PC features a color touch-screen display, Windows CE software, intuitive GUI interface, up to 1 Gb of memory, Bluetooth wireless communications, email and internet access, GPS plus many other features, making the "Inspector Series" the best inspection tools available.
