New Epson PowerLite 1900-Series Projectors Deliver WUXGA Resolution and Full HD Wireless Projection via Intel WiDi and Android Miracast
Three New Models Offer Advanced Features and Connectivity for Corporate, Higher Education and House of Worship Environments
LAS VEGAS -- InfoComm, Booth #C7430 -- Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide(1), today expanded its PowerLite(®) 1900-series projector line with three new models. Designed for boardrooms, lecture halls and houses of worship, the new PowerLite 1975W, 1980WU and 1985WU provide outstanding image quality, a wide range of connectivity options and up to WUXGA resolution with native full HD 1080p support. In addition, two of the new models feature wireless full HD video transfer via Intel(®) WiDi and Android((TM)) Miracast, as well as two HDMI ports, one with MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) for connecting multiple digital devices.

The new PowerLite 1900-series projectors deliver a host of easy-to-use and versatile features designed for the classroom, boardroom and sanctuary, including:

This technology also provides an energy-efficient light engine which uses available lamp light to create stunning images, and in contrast to 1-chip DLP technology, 3LCD requires, on average, 25 percent less electricity per lumen of brightness(7).
Color Brightness Specification and Projector Performance
The new color brightness specification (measuring red, green and blue) published by the Society of Information Display (SID) allows consumers to compare projector color performance without conducting a side-by-side shootout. With today's high definition content, presenters can display content with higher quality in brighter environments. For a truly impressive image, projectors need to offer both high color brightness and high white brightness. High color brightness is important for larger screen sizes and provides flexibility for a variety of screen materials. The PowerLite 1980WU will be available in August 2014 and the PowerLite 1975W and 1985WU will be available in October 2014 through national resellers and direct on Epson.com.
