CI Lumen Launches Interactive LCD Monitor Product Line

Using 3M MicroTouch(TM) DST Touch Technology

Hauppauge, NY -- January 23, 2008 - CI Lumen Industries LLC today announced the release of a selection of large-format LCD Monitors integrated with 3M MicroTouch(TM) DST touch technology. A complete offering of interactive LCD monitors in sizes ranging from 32" to 46" is available, all of which may be augmented by CI Lumen accessories and display enhancements.

"3M is pleased to support CI Lumen's effort to deliver high-quality, MicroTouch(TM) DSTenabled digital signage solutions," said Chris Tsourides, Business Unit Manager, 3M Touch Systems. "Using our DST touch technology, CI Lumen now provides convenient and easyto-use interactive displays in sizes convenient for most public environments."

CI Lumen, an industry leader for supply of large format monitors used in digital signage, teleconferencing and other applications, integrates the MicroTouch(TM) DST-enabled touch monitors with readability enhancements such as anti-glare and high brightness upgrades.

Accessories such as single board computers and media players are also available to add functionality to the interactive display experience. End products using CI Lumen large format monitors with integrated MicroTouch(TM) DST touch screens are well suited for applications such as interactive digital signage, public way finders, point-of-information stations, corporate directories, retail product selectors, as well as conference room and education presentation systems.

"CI Lumen selected 3M Touch Systems technology after evaluating all available largeformat touch technologies," said Paul Kline, Executive VP, CI Lumen. "We wanted a touch solution that integrates easily with our preferred LCD products and provided unique touch features for our customers and their users."

Based on 3M's patented Dispersive Signal Technology (DST), MicroTouch(TM) DST touch systems offer an ideal solution for large-format interactive applications that require fast, accurate, reliable touch response. Dispersive Signal Technology recognizes touch by interpreting bending waves within the glass substrate created by the contact of a finger or stylus on the glass. Since bending waves are unaffected by on-screen contaminants and moderate surface damage the touch response is faster, more accurate and more reliable than other touch enabling technologies. "Dynamic touch" is another unique feature which ignores static objects on the screen and allows for multi-user touch capabilities.
