Breakthrough AR-Bonding(TM) Treatment for Crystal Clear LCD's
Untreated LCDs typically reflect between 8% and 12% of ambient light back to the viewer. Outdoors, and in other brightly lit venues, that makes the screen look washed out and hard to read. Proprietary AR-Bonding glass treatment from CyberResearch, Inc. cuts reflection to about 0.2% for crystal-clear viewing.
AR-Bonding glass treatment seals the protective top cover glass or touchscreen glass directly to the front surface of the LCD display. By filling that air gap with an optical bonding medium that has the same index of refraction as the glass, internal light reflections are virtually eliminated.
On the CyRAQ(TM) monitors where AR-Bonding is used, CyberResearch® starts with an antireflection coating on the top glass, reducing reflection from about 4% to about 0.2%. With an air gap, the internal glass-to-air and air-to-glass interfaces each reflect 4% of ambient light back to the viewer. With AR-Bonding, treatmentonly the coated top glass reflects significant light.
AR-Bonding also prevents condensation between top glass and LCD, enhances shock and vibration protection, and reduces backlight heating by allowing lower backlight levels and by reducing the light reflected back into the display. The result: unbeatable display clarity and reliability!
