LCD Displays are powered by 20 mA loop.

Press Release Summary:

Digital indicators install directly in 4-20 mA loop without need for external power. Two pushbuttons allow configuration between -1999 and 9999. Voltage drop is just above 5 V, allowing displays to be connected to most 2-wire transmitters with normal output. LCD-W11 mounts on wall and contains scaling pushbuttons inside splash-proof housing. LCD-P11 mounts in panel and contains pushbuttons behind splash-proof front. Both indicators are HART transparent.

Original Press Release:

Loop Powered LCD Displays offers easily programmable scaling without reference signal, by two pushbuttons for any values between -1999 to 9999.

August 1, 2002: Inor Transmitter has designed LCD units that are easily powered by a 20 mA loop. No separate power supply is needed. Two pushbuttons allow easy configuration between the values -1999 and 9999. The voltage drop is just above 5V allowing the LCD-W11 and LCD-P11 to be connected to most 2-wire transmitters with normal output.

Displays are equipped with digital indicators for installation directly in 4-20 mA loop without need for external power. This eliminates the need for a separate power source. The LCD-W11 mounts on a wall and contains the scaling pushbuttons inside the rugged, splash proof housing. The LCD-P11 mounts in a panel and contains the pushbuttons behind the splash proof front. Most Inor transmitters allow for more than a 6V load capacity, making them the perfect combination with the Inor LCD.

Loop powered LCD displays are cost effective and commonly install LCD, but often are difficult to read low light conditions. The luminous displays of the LCD-W11 and LCD-P11 allow for easier readability, eliminating misreading of numbers in low light conditions while maintaining cost effectiveness.

Both indicators are HART transparent, which means that they will not interfere with or be disrupted by HART communication over the current loop.
