John Deere Introduces Z-Trak(TM) Estate 500 Series

Comfort meets durability for the rural homeowner

(CARY, N.C.) - From large expanses to small rugged spaces, the new John Deere Z-Trak(TM) Estate 500 Series can handle any terrain on the homestead, delivering an immaculate cut every time.

"Mowing large acreages can be an adventure," said Sean Sundberg, John Deere Strategy Manager, Property Owner. "But with the new Z-Trak Estate series, John Deere is giving customers the power to handle the toughest terrain with the comfort and security of a mower designed for the job."

V-Twin, 22- and 25-hp Kohler engines on the Z510A and Z520A have plenty of muscle and torque to help customers power through tough conditions. These machines enable customers to accomplish tasks quickly, with top speeds of 10 mph, and feature the industry-recognized 7-IronTM decks, made of thick, seven-gauge steel and stamped into perfect form using four million pounds of pressure.

According to Sundberg, customers want the assurance their machines will last while mowing in rugged terrain. Matching the strength and durability of the 7-Iron mowing deck, the Z-Trak Estate features heavy-duty channel frame construction, cast-iron caster wheel arms and caster forks.

"Even though the mower is designed to handle the toughest jobs, operators will take delight in the added comforts that are standard on the Z-Trak Estate mowers," said Sundberg. "This series offers ergonomically-angled control handles, special padded grips and a deluxe seat that features arm rests. Plus, the Z520A is equipped with a special convenience package that allows you to raise and lower the deck by just pressing a button on the control stick, and there also is a PTO cut-off switch enabling you to quickly shut down the mower in the event that something unexpected should cross the mowing path."

Designed with the first-time zero-turn customer in mind, the Z-Trak Estate mowers start easily with only the parking brake set and a turn of the key. Additionally, a six-gallon fuel tank and standard fuel gauge enable customers to mow until the job is complete.

And in the event that hauling a fertilizer spreader is necessary, the Z-Trak Estate also offers an optional rear hitch.

"With two models to choose from, homeowners can take care of all their mowing needs with the Z-Trak Estate Series," said Sundberg. "The 7-Iron mower decks, durability you expect, reliability you demand, unparalleled dealer support and a legendary name make these mowers a smart investment."

The Z-Trak Estate 500 Series lineup will be available at John Deere Dealerships in early spring 2008.
