Emcoturn 325-II Provides Big Quality To Small Part Manufacturers

COLUMBUS, Ohio-EMCO Maier Corporation recently released its EMCOTURN 325-II, a compact, high-performance universal lathe for people who manufacture small parts with high quality requirements. The ET 325-II has everything that makes work easy and parts perfect, including driven tools, digital drives and state-of-the-art technology.

"We are very excited to bring a true universal CNC machine for small part manufacturers to the market," said Mike Wicken, President of EMCO Maier Corporation. "This machine's C axis and driven tools provides out customers with more flexibility and value than other machines in this price range."

The ET 325-II is a modern inclined-bed machine with a box body for rigidity. All of its components are designed for hard, shopfloor work, making it a match for all industrial requirements ranging from 1" bar stock or 3.75" chuck capability to machine parts up to 3.35" in diameter and 8.85"(including chuck) in length. Its new-generation digital servo drives and 5.9 hp main spindle make for powerhouse dynamics and outstanding stock removal capacity.

This machine has a 12-station VDI 16 quick-change tool turret that holds up to six 1.6 hp driven tools at speed range of 200 to 5000 rpm for off-center drilling, milling and thread cutting. It also has a full C axis with rapid traverse of 100 rpm for free contouring on end faces and cylindrical walls. The ET 325-II operates on the EMCO WinNC software with GUI, a one-to-one map of the SIEMENS 840D or Fanuc 21T control.

The workplace of the ET 325-II is much larger than its predecessor model, so special tools can be used for producing unique and customized parts. The machine also provides better access to tools and chucking elements as well as a large, toughened glass window, allowing for a clear view of work in progress. A tailstock and a parts catcher are also included in this machining center's standard scope of accessories.
