Lathe Goes Live at IMTS 2006

Hurco launch of lathe with live tooling piques customer interest

INDIANAPOLIS-The popularity of the CNC slant-bed lathes that Hurco introduced at IMTS 2004 prompted development of the Hurco Lathes with Live Tooling, which were introduced at this year's IMTS.

The TMM8, Hurco's integrated mill turn machine with an 8" three-jaw chuck and spindle speed of 4,800 rpm, was displayed at the Hurco IMTS booth. With a base price in the mid $70s, investing in the TMM8 can actually save shops money with parts that require turning with minor milling operations. Hurco is also developing the TMM10 with a 10" three-jaw chuck.
