Blackmagic Design Approves Lightning-Fast Delkin JUGGLER™ USB 3.2 SSD with URSA Mini Pro 12K
POWAY, CA, SEPTEMBER 15, 2020 - Delkin Devices, a manufacturer of flash storage solutions and camera accessories, announced today that their top-selling line of JUGGLER™ USB 3.2 Type-C solid-state drives has been officially approved by Blackmagic Design to work in the company’s USB-C supported professional cinema cameras. This includes the hotly anticipated Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K, Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K, as well as the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2. The JUGGLER™ is also approved to work in the Sigma fp mirrorless digital camera.
Designed with a removable USB-C cable and boasting write speeds up to an astounding 1000 MB/s, the JUGGLER™ SSD works with a variety of USB-C supported cameras, providing safe recording and significantly longer recording times. Record flawless cinema-quality video footage, including 12-bit Blackmagic RAW 12K at 60fps. As bitrates in the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K can reach up to 578 MB/s, fast media is required to ensure that frames aren’t dropped or recordings aren’t randomly stopped. The JUGGLER™ also includes a mounting clip with a built-in ¼-20” male thread for direct camera attachment – no cage necessary.
“We are proud and thankful to be included in Blackmagic Design’s list of approved memory vendors” says Jenn Sherry, Delkin's Retail Sales & Marketing Manager, “Blackmagic has become one of the premier manufacturers of professional cinema cameras and we’re excited to offer products that are able to utilize the full capabilities of their high-end cameras. Serving the photo and video industry for over 3 decades, Delkin has built up a reputation of trust and reliability and we strive to maintain that, first and foremost through what we supply our valued customers.”
Once filming has finished, the JUGGLER™ SSD can then be used to edit directly off of (1050 MB/s transfer), streamlining one’s workflow and avoiding the hassle of transferring files from multiple cards. Simply plug the drive into any USB-A or USB-C port on your laptop or desktop computer (USB C-to-C and USB C-to-A cables included) to gain immediate access to your files. The JUGGLER™ is also backwards compatible with USB 3.0, 2.0 and 1.1 ports, but will transfer data at slower rates.
In addition to their “Lifetime Warranty” policy, Delkin continues to offer a unique built-in insurance policy for their JUGGLER™ USB 3.2 Type-C SSDs, known as the “48-Hour Replacement Guarantee”. Delkin will replace any non-working Juggler™ SSD within 48 hours or less (not including weekends), prior to receiving the non-working drive. Drives can also be replaced over-the-counter at any authorized Delkin JUGGLER™ reseller.
JUGGLER™ SSD is available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, and retails at $299.99 and $499.99 respectively. At only $0.30 per gigabyte, as opposed to over $1.30 for CFast and over $1.60 for SD, JUGGLER™ is the best available option when it comes to speed, capacity AND cost.
