Original Press Release:

MPE Station Controllers SC100, SC1000, and SC2000 Extended Red LED Brightness

M.P. Electronics announces a new parameter in their family of Station Controllers, the SC100, the SC1000, and the SC2000 Station Controllers.

These Controllers use red LED numeric displays as the integral part of their easily seen and read operator interface.

It is a known phenomenon red LED’s lose a certain amount of brightness over time. M.P. Electronics’ latest firmware revision maintains the red LED’s original brightness.  This revision limits the amount of time the numerical display will remain energized after depressing any push buttons on the operator interface.

The firmware enhancement keeps the red LED numeric display of the Station Controllers bright, as well as easy to see and read, throughout the entire life of the Controller.

Upgrading your existing Controller to incorporate this feature is simple. Download and complete the RMA form located on MPE’s website (www.mpelectronics.com).   For a nominal fee, the new firmware update will be installed to ensure your Controller’s red LED numeric display stays bright for years to come.
