Latching Switch Relay Provides for Multiple Maintained Contacts (N/O or N/C)

WEYMOUTH, MA - Electroswitch introduces its Latching Switch Relay (LSR) for the electric power industry. Used to open or close and maintain up to 20 contacts (N/O and N/C), it can be operated either manually or remotely and is available in two basic models.

The Series 24 LSR can be configured with 3, 5, 8, or 10 decks. Its contacts are rated at 60 amps for one minute and at 30 amps continuous current in a range of 125-250VDC or 120-600VAC. It is also available with the Electroswitch "Smart" Lighted Nameplate, which incorporates up to three target LEDs into a traditional nameplate footprint.

The Series 31 LSR can be configured with 3, 6, or 8 decks. Series 31 contacts are rated at 25 amps for one minute and at 15 amps continuous current in a range of 12-125VDC or 120-600VAC.

Typical uses include latching, reclosing, or as a programming relay for a local or remote SCADA-compatible switch. The unit's blade-and-terminal design allows for multiple decks and contacts, so it can be configured for a variety of specific applications. A maximum of 10 decks can be stacked, providing control of up to 40 independent contacts (2 N/O and 2 N/C contacts per deck) in a single device.

Designed to withstand vibration, the Electroswitch LSR is a two-position, rotary-action device compliant with UL, CSA, and ANSI/IEEE standards for Class 1E utility products. Equipped with either a panel or shelf mount, the remotely operated unit is available with a choice of three coil-voltage ranges (VDC): 38-56, 100-140, or 200-280.

Electroswitch is the industry leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of tough, reliable switches, relays, and other electrical systems products for utility, industrial, and military environments. The Electroswitch line of standard products is complemented by the company's proven ability and willingness to modify, custom design, and test their switches and relays for virtually any application.
