Laser Triangulation Sensor has 100,000 Hz cut-off frequency.

Press Release Summary:

Able to be used for high-speed displacement, distance, and position measurements up to 100 kHz, optoNCDT 1630 offers compact design, Ethernet interface, and analog outputs to simplify integration with process control systems. Automatic lighting control feature allows for visual adaptation to different target surfaces, and functionality is suited for vibration measurements, crash tests, and inspection systems for vibrating components. Sensor also works with CSP 2008 universal controller.

Laser Triangulation at Top Speed

With its cut-off frequency of 100,000Hz, the optoNCDT 1630 laser sensor from Micro-Epsilon is one of the fastest on the market. The new displacement sensor is a particularly good choice for vibration measurements, crash tests and inspection systems for vibrating components.

At the beginning of this year, Micro-Epsilon introduced a new series of optoNCDT 16x0 laser triangulation sensors. These analogue laser sensors are ideal for high speed displacement, distance and position measurements. Their compact design, Ethernet interface and analogue outputs simplify integration with process control systems. The sensors incorporate an automatic lighting control feature for visual adaptation to different target surfaces. Used in combination with the CSP 2008 universal controller the new optoNCDT 16x0 laser sensors become compact measuring systems with multiple sensors (e.g. for thickness measurements).

In addition to the first model, the optoNCDT 1610 (10kHz cut-off frequency), another high-speed sensor has been introduced to the market – the optoNCDT 1630. This sensor can be used for measurements up to 100kHz: including position control of pistons and valves; length, angle and thickness measurements; flatness control, etc.
