New 85 BTA-Series 442-nm DPSS Laser System
Carlsbad, CA - Melles Griot introduces the new 85 BTA series of compact diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser systems with output at 442 nm. 85 BTA-series lasers operate in both a single longitudinal and single transverse mode, and include automatic power control for long-term stability. Systems are available with 5-, 8- or 10-mW guaranteed output power and are ideal for use in laser induced fluorescence, metrology, mastering and other applications where low noise, constant power, excellent beam quality, and long life are required.
Historically, 442-nm output has only been available from helium cadmium lasers. Now the 85 BTA series provides this wavelength with the superior beam quality, stability, long life, and operating efficiency available only from a DPSS system.
85 BTA-series systems are CE and CDRH certified, have excellent pointing stability, and are designed for rock-solid power and noise performance over the entire operating temperature range with only minimal heat sinking. Units are linearly polarized with near-circular beams (1.1:1).
