The Glennon Group(TM) Premiers Markingtech 10W Laser System

Pewaukee, Wis. - Charles J. Osborn Jr, President of The Glennon Group(TM), recently announced the company now holds an exclusive distributorship for the Markingtech 10W Laser System. "We researched this innovative laser marking system in direct response to our customers' requests for high production permanent marking other than inkjet," Osborn stated. "This unique product features the latest in laser technology and will enhance the operations of any manufacturer or distributor."

"The benefits of the Markingtech 10W Laser System are many," Osborn explained. "It is computer driven for quick changes in coding, essential in today's super fast manufacturing environment. Its versatility allows date, hour and minute coding on each package. Its built-in 90 deg beam enables alternative positioning for space maximization and customization to a specific production line configuration."

The Markingtech system easily marks paper labels, cardboard, PET, glass, coatings, wood, chip board boxes, some plastics and films, and products themselves. User friendly software increases simplicity of operation. The system prints characters from 2mm to 20mm in height, handles multiple messages, multiple time formats, runs both static and dynamic modes and will generate sequential numbers and sequential messages tied to hour and date. The system is also password protected.

Less costly to operate and maintain than inkjet systems, the laser system requires no expensive consumables. And, laser technology eliminates the environmental concerns engendered by hazardous fluids, inks and solvents. The 10W Laser System is controlled by a standard industrial PC board, making it easy to service and maintain.

According to Jim Mueller, Sales Engineer for The Glennon Group', the Markingtech 10W Laser System far surpasses the capabilities of inkjet equipment when printing complex logos and/or symbols. "It prints standard solid lines of superior quality and also has the capacity to print dot characters, which is very unusual," Mueller noted. "In addition, in static mode, the product stops so the laser can print an area up to 6" x 6", far better than the standard 4" x 4"." Since it is air-cooled and therefore doesn't require a large cooling system, this unit has a significantly smaller footprint than the majority of its competitors. Adding to its compact design, the hand held keypad terminal eliminates the necessity of a separate in-line PC controller.

Available options for the Markingtech 10W Laser System include a full graphic interface package, dot character fonts and a network interface package. It is possible to link multiple Markingtech systems through the full graphic interface package to increase production or graphic capabilities.

"The Markingtech 10W Laser System is the beginning of a full line of laser coding products The Glennon Group will offer to meet the quality and productivity challenges faced by our customers," Osborn concluded.
