Laser Profile Scanners provide gap measurements.

Press Release Summary:

With compact design and advanced triggering capabilities, gapCONTROL 2611 and 2911 can be integrated into industrial environments, such as welding, joining, and assembly processes. Sensors measure gaps as well as flushness, overlapping, proximity, and height offsets. Included gapCONTROL Setup Software configures sensors, defines metrics, and outputs measurement values. Results can be used, for example, in automotive industry for control of robots or for in-process quality assurance.

Original Press Release:

Compact Laser Profile Scanner for Gap Measurements

Two new sensor models have been added to the product range of laser profile scanners for gap measurements: gapCONTROL 2611 and 2911 have compact designs and extended functionality.

The new gapCONTROL 2611 and 2911 sensors make non-contact gap detection even easier and more accurate. The high-performance matrix of the gapCONTROL series also enables even smaller gaps to be measured. Compact design and advanced triggering capabilities facilitate integration into industrial environments, such as welding, joining and assembly processes. These laser profile scanners with integrated electronics do not require additional accessories for integration into process control environments. In addition to gap measurements, these sensors help to monitor flushness, overlapping, proximity, and height offsets. The user-friendly gapCONTROL Setup Software (included) configures the sensors, defines metrics and outputs measurement values. The measurement results can be used, for example, in the automotive industry for control of robots or for in-process quality assurance.
