WarpSCAN IITM Laser Marking Heads Feature High Performance and Very Low Drift!

Sunnyvale, CA, - Laser Scanning Solutions (LSS) has released the warpSCAN IITM series of Laser Marking Heads. These high performance galvanometer scanners are compact, 165 mm (6.6 in.) wide x 117 mm (4.62 in.) high x 146 mm (5.75 in.) deep, dust proof, temperature stabilized marking heads featuring very low drift, and high stability for high volume industrial applications. Industrial applications include: Marking, laser materials processing, electronics production, microstructuring, rapid manufacturing, sterolithography, and medical applications (e.g. stent cutting).

Available in 7 mm, 10 mm and 14 mm aperture sizes the warpSCAN II series of Laser Marking Heads can be customized with galvanometer mirrors and objectives as well as optimized mounts for all typical laser types and image fields. All Scan Heads in this series are equipped with an analog (± 5 VDC) or digital (XYZ-100 standard) input signal interface and are easily controlled via a LSS RTC interface board.

Performance features of these scanners include: Dynamic Performance - Repeatability < 22 µrad, Tracking Error as low as 0.11 ms, and Long-term Drift < 0.3 mrad; Optical Performance - Typical Scan Angle ± 0.35 mrad, Gain Error < 5 mrad, Zero Offset <5 mrad, and Skew < 1.5 mrad. Marking speeds are: 3.5 m/s (7 mm), 2.5 m/s (10 mm), and 1.5 m/s (14 mm aperture mirrors) and writing speeds to 1100 CPS (characters per second).

Standard features include: F-Theta scanning lens, low inertia four (4) pole galvanometer motors with electro-optic position sensor, mirrors appropriate for the application, connectors and cables.

Options include: Industry standard XY2-100 Interface, Z-axis focusing stage and water cooling. The warpSCAN II Laser Marking Heads are available with a camera adapter for process monitoring. The 14 mm aperture warpSCAN II Laser Scan Head can be equipped with an additional reference sensor system for automatic self-calibration where scan systems require extremely high long-term position stability.
