New Laser Displacement Sensors for Highly Dynamic R&D Applications

The new optoNCDT 1610 laser sensor is ideal for applications that require fast measurement speeds.

Vibration measurement, crash tests, inspection systems for vibrating components – these are just a few examples of the numerous applications for the new optoNCDT 1610 series of laser sensors from Micro-Epsilon. Its cut-off frequency of 10kHz makes the optoNCDT 1610 one of the fastest laser displacement sensors on the market. A special analogue engine provides high precision measurement results for almost every surface type. The new sensors incorporate an automatic light control feature for visual adaptation to changing target surfaces. An Ethernet interface and analogue outputs enable easier integration with laser sensors within the process. With the CSP 2008 universal controller, the highly dynamic optoNCDT 1610 laser sensors can be used as multi-channel measurement systems for specific tasks. Delivery includes the control unit and a 2 m connection cable.

A large measuring range of 0.5 mm to 200 mm makes the sensors in this series suitable for a wide variety of measurement tasks. Preferred applications for the optoNCDT 1610 laser sensors include: position control of pistons and valves; length, angle and thickness measurements; flatness control; and vibration measurements.
