Power Technology Introduces a Fiber Coupled DFB Module!



Now available from Power Technology, Inc. is a new Fiber Coupled DFB IQ (Instrument Quality) laser diode module. At 760nm, the IQµ4x(760-5) emits 5mW of output power with a spectral width of only 2MHz. The IQµ4x(760-5) will accommodate fiber-coupled 14-pin butterfly, DIP, and DIL packages. For greater control of the module, the IQµ features an on-board menu driven microprocessor. The diodes can be used for any number of applications, including fluorescence, spectroscopy, interferometry, high-resolution printing, display, and microscopy.

The IQµ4X features a precision current source and a PID temperature controller and is available with 20MHz analog beam modulation or 100MHz digital beam modulation. The unit measures 1.50 inches in diameter and 7.52 inches in length and can operate in either constant current or automatic power control mode.
