Next Generation Laser Microgage Delivers Expanded Capabilities and Precision

March 2003, Newburyport, Massachusetts: Pinpoint Laser Systems is introducing the Microgage 2000 - our next generation laser alignment and measuring system. The Microgage 2000 is a fully digital, state-of-the-art alignment system that provides 0.0001 inch precision over working distances of 80 feet. The MG 2000 is used for aligning equipment and machinery that needs to be straight, flat, square, parallel, or level. The receivers and displays are inter-changeable and the handheld display has a variety of user selectable settings allowing for greater versatility on factory alignment projects. The Microgage 2000 laser transmitters offer the latest in alignment accuracy and are available in either a cylindrical housing or a precision machined housing with threaded mounting points {shown.) The Microgage 2000 has evolved from more than two years of steady innovation and feedback from Pinpoint customers.

The Microgage 2000 has a laser transmitter that projects a beam of light to a compact receiver. As the receiver is elevated or moved through the laser beam, a digital readout records its position to within 0.0001 inch. Additional receivers can be added for other tasks and the display unit provides selection options for English and metric units, data averaging, offsets, and is fully computer compatible for downloading and analyzing data. The laser transmitter now features a remote battery pack for 3 AA batteries that power the laser for 18 hours. The laser housing has a 15 arc-second leveling vial built in for precision equipment leveling and positioning. A cylindrical laser package is ideal for bore alignment, checking machine spindle and lathe run out, and related projects. All Microgage components are precision-machined from solid aluminum and protected by a clear, hard, anodized coating with a variety of mounting surfaces and threaded points.

The Microgage 2000 comes with a carrying case, easy-to-follow instructions, an adjustable receiver base, batteries, and carries a 1-year comprehensive warranty. Kits start at $6,000 and all products are manufactured by Pinpoint in the United States. For further details, please call 1-800-757-5383.
