SEW-Eurodrive Adds Large Industrial Gears
(Lyman, SC) SEW-Eurodrive, innovator and supplier of drive technology, announces the expansion of its product line to include large industrial gears.
The MC Compact Series (53,000 lb-in-575,000 lb-in) features very compact helical and helical-bevel gear units. The new design allows for great freedom in planning a system and requires very little space. MC gear units can be found in conveyor technology, transportation of heavy loads mixing, hoisting, crane travel drives and other similar applications.
The P Series (212,000 lb-in-3,938,000 lb-in) motors are very compact-the geared motor is mounted directly in front of the planetary gear unit. They are the first planetary-geared motors to be stocked in inventory and available from a catalog. The Planetary motors are found in all applications in which large loads have to be moved at low speeds, such as drying processes in the building materials industry, apron feeders in the aggregate industry, and filling processes in the concrete industry.
