Press Release Summary:

Suited for assembly, prototyping, and rework applications, KISS 103 Stretch features 26 x 19 in. work area designed to handle larger PCBs and panelized boards. User can place multiple boards in work area, and then utilize Step-and-Repeat feature of system's operating program. Along with swappable lead-free compatible solder pots, system offers 3 in. wave that enables conversion from leaded soldering process to no-lead solder process.

Original Press Release:

A.C.E. to Debut Large Format KISS 103 'Stretch' Selective Soldering System with 3" Nozzles

Spokane, Washington, USA - A.C.E. Production Technologies plans to introduce its latest advance in selective soldering equipment, the KISS 103 'Stretch' large-format selective soldering system, with 3" nozzles. The KISS 103 Stretch will be exhibited at the upcoming Assembly Technology Expo (ATExpo) in Rosemont, IL in late September, in booth #5811.

The KISS 103 Stretch offers all of the popular features found in the KISS 101 and 102 systems, but in a larger format to handle larger PCB's and panelized boards. The 'Stretch' provides a 26" x 19" work area. With the Stretch model, the user can place more boards in the work area and take advantage of the Step-and-Repeat feature of the system's unique operating program.

3" nozzles are a new option for all A.C.E. Selective soldering systems, designed to increase throughput as well as close the gap between selective, or secondary soldering, and full wave soldering. The 3" wave enables the quick conversion from a leaded soldering process to a no-lead solder process, utilizing a cost-effective solder delivery tool. By "painting" the solder side of a circuit with the 3" wide wave, KISS systems can deliver productivity that approaches that of the standard wave soldering tools commonly available. The KISS 103 Stretch can be easily integrated with A.C.E.'s line of preheat modules.

The KISS 103 Stretch is part of A.C.E.'s KISS line of simple, affordable selective soldering systems. These flexible systems feature swappable lead-free compatible solder pots (to prevent cross-contamination) and are ideal for assembly, prototyping, and rework applications. A variety of standard and custom nozzles are available.
