May 12, 2004, Rockville, MD - IDEAL.com sets the latest generation of IDEAL/Contex scanners apart from the rest by offering free IDEAL ScanOS operating software with every model.
IDEALScanOS is a Multi-Functional Scanner Operating System that offers the ability to scan images, store and index them with a single field for easy retrieval. Print images directly to multiple Xerox 8830, 8825, Océ 9400, KIP StarPrint 3000 to 4000, or any Windows-compatible output device (digital copying). All print jobs can be stored and indexed for accounting purposes. IDEAL ScanOS also includes advanced Hollerith and nudge features for Aperture Card Scanning (ACS). IDEAL ScanOS supports all Contex Scanners, FireWire and USB, as well as any ISIS-Compatible and TWAIN Scanners.

The CHAMELEON Sx 25" wide format scanner, built on the already successful and established Tx platform, introduces the next generation of technology for enhanced scan speed and image quality. It provides fast monochrome scanning and the option for occasional color scanning. The CHAMELEON Sx 25" scanner speed is increased to 4.0"/sec in monochrome scanning to meet the specific speed requirements in the CAD market-segments
The COUGAR Sx 25, another addition to the family of 25" scanners, is based on the successful Tx Technology and incorporates the next generation of Sx enhancements. The Cougar Sx 25 color scanner incorporates state-of-the-art technology for enhanced scan speed and image quality. It has been enhanced with USB2 and FireWire for increased color and monochrome scanning speeds from .5"/sec to 1.5"/sec for color scanning and up to 4.0"/sec for monochrome in order to meet the scanning speed requirements in the CAD, GIS and Reprographic/Graphic Arts market-segments.
The CRYSTAL XL 42" wide format scanner, built on the successful Tx Technology, incorporates the next generation of enhancements for improved scan speed and image quality. It also includes the new Automatic Thick Media Adjustment Control (ATAC), Accuracy Lens Enhancement Technology (ALE) and adaptive error diffusion, making it one of the most versatile and advanced scanners on the market. The CRYSTAL XL is an ideal tool for the A/E/C, Mechanical, GIS and CAD markets.
The CHROMA XL 42" color scanner is based on the successful Tx Technology and introduces the next generation of XL enhancements. The CHROMA XL 42" color scanner incorporates state-of-the-art technology for enhanced scan speed and image quality. The CHROMA XL 42" offers Automatic Thick Media Adjustment Control (ATAC) for originals up to .6" thick, making it the perfect solution for reliable high-production scanning and reproduction.
