Original Press Release:

Lamination Press Pads Improve Product Quality and are Reusable

New reusable press pads that provide temperature stabilization and equalize pressure during the manufacture of high- and low-pressure plastic laminates are being introduced by PACOTHANE Technologies® of New York, New York.

PACOPRESS(TM) Press Pads control and retard the heat delivered to a press load and equalize the pressure distributed across the panel while laminating and pressing high- and low-pressure decorative and industrial plastic laminates. A single sheet can replace up to three sheets of Kraft paper to obtain the same heat rise curves, and one sheet can also be reused at least 20 times.

Available in rolls up to 60" W or as custom-cut sheets, PACOPRESS(TM) Press Pads are clean, releasable paper dust-free, and do not produce noxious odors during the lamination process. These Press Pads are more consistent and dependable then Kraft papers, resulting in significant cost-savings during the handling and lay-up stages of the lamination process, claims the firm.

PACOPRESS(TM) Press Pads are priced from $ 6.50 per square foot, depending upon quantity. Samples and literature are available upon request.
