LAGOTEK® Provides Remote Access to Home Control with Windows Home Server

This is truly a peace of mind solution.

BELLEVUE, WA, May 15, 2007..... Lagotek Corporation is enabling its Home Intelligence Platform to provide remote monitoring and control of the home from the dedicated tab of the Windows Home Server console.

Homeowners will be able to view the cameras in the home, see how many lights are on and off, and what the temperature is in different climate zones of the house. With one click of a button it will be possible to change lighting, temperature and control many other things in the house, using Lagotek Modes. Various alerts generated by Lagotek Rules will let the homeowner know if there were any critical events in their home (security breach or dangerously low temperature).

Eugene Luskin, CEO of Lagotek, stated, "Windows Home Server is an important component for the Lagotek Home Automation solution. It provides single point of access to the things that are very important to everyone - their files and their home. It truly creates peace of mind - the homeowner knows that their information is safe and available, and that everything is going great at home."

Lagotek's Home Intelligence Platform (HIP) automates lighting, distributed audio, media center control, video monitoring, zoned climate control and security system integration, with additional applications continuously under development. Homeowners manage their home's systems using a simple, but elegant, interface running on the Lagotek HIP100(TM) touch screen panels, PCs, Ultra Mobile PCs or Wi-Fi capable PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants).

"We are excited to work with Lagotek and help provide our mutual customers with increased control and simplicity in the management of the digital home," said Steven VanRoekel, director of Windows Server Solutions at Microsoft.

Lagotek's Modes and Rules simplify users' everyday life by allowing them to set all the systems in the house to the desired state by pressing just one button or switch from state-to-state or from Mode-to-Mode based on time or any other event. The objective is to make the system fully automated and minimize the need for human interaction.

Dual Wireless Technology is Key to Bringing Home Automation to Every Home

Unlike previous home automation solutions that were server-based and hard-wired, Lagotek's dual wireless technology provides functionality through the use of software running on an open, wireless hardware platform.

The Lagotek HIP100 Intelligent Controller is Wi-Fi(TM) and Z-Wave(TM) compatible. Z-Wave is a low-cost, two-way, mesh network communications technology that enables everyday devices to be controlled and monitored wirelessly and securely from anywhere in the world. Z-Wave is a fully developed, proven, affordable, easy-to-use and interoperable technology that has been adopted by over 160 leading companies who manufacture wireless home control and automation products today.
