LaborLogix Releases Subscription-Based Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Solution for Business Application Integration and Access

SOA Software Appliance and Packaged SOA Business Applications (SOBAs) Available on a Pay-As-You-Use Monthly Subscription
MCLEAN, Va., April 16 - LaborLogix, Inc., a leading provider of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) software for streamlining integration and access between critical business applications, today announced that it has moved to a Software as a Service (SaaS) managed subscription pricing model for its core SOA products: DataPath®, WorkPath® and its vast library of application adapters. Deployed as a virtual software appliance, customers receive the benefits of a monthly SaaS pricing model and managed integration services while still being able to deploy the technology behind their own firewall.
"Businesses are increasingly looking at their methods for integration between systems and are seeking to standardize on SOA and a number of Enterprise Service Busses (ESB) from vendors such as SAP, Oracle, IBM, BEA and others. Our SOA software appliance SOA-enables legacy applications for true business agility while providing full compatibility for expansion and reuse through standards-based ESBs. Point-to-point integration solutions are too costly and do not allow IT to support the rapidly evolving business requirements that IT is under pressure to deliver" said Frank Oelschlager, CTO of LaborLogix.
LaborLogix's SOA software appliance allows for a range of SOA-enabling options, from fully packaged managed integrations between systems to an open- architecture deployment where IT or System Integrators take on the role of building integrations with DataPath's simple XML information model architecture rather than cumbersome queries and hard coded API calls.
"LaborLogix sought to shatter the price barrier for integration with products such as Primavera, SAP, Oracle and others by offering monthly subscriptions as low as $2000 per month. We also wanted to offer our customers the option of a managed interface contract where we worry about end system upgrades, with no hidden costs, or an open architecture solution where we train internal IT groups or System Integrators on how to manage and extend our technology" said Rex G. Ahlstrom, President & CEO of LaborLogix. Mr. Ahlstrom added, "Another advantage of this model is that there is no large upfront Capital Expenditure for software as the fees are typically charged as an operational expense."
